Bringing with him over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience from outstanding schools in both the UK and the Middle East, Graham is excited at the prospect of joining GEMS Cambridge International Private School - Sharjah. Born in London, he completed his undergraduate degree and Masters in Education, starting his career teaching Design and Technology. Since then as a Principal and whole school leader his roles have focused on ensuring every student achieves their true potential. Graham has spent a considerable part of his teaching career working to enhance the use of technology through 1:1 device schemes, learning platforms and embedding whole school systems such as Office 365 and the Google platform to maximise the potential of creativity, collaboration and communication.
Some of his own greatest learning has happened outside of the classroom, taking risks, pushing himself out of his comfort zone and taking time to reflect. Graham strongly believes in having the opportunity to engage with students in a more holistic approach is vital for building trustworthy powerful relationships.
Graham is passionate about fostering leadership capabilities and ambition in young people, he strongly believes that education, coupled with outstanding teaching and learning is the key to success. He is looking forward to working with the whole GEMS Community including students, colleagues and parents in an already well-established school.
