Head of Primary

I am delighted to be joining Gems Cambridge International Private school, Sharjah as Head of Primary.

With over 25 years of experience working in International and UK schools I am proud to have lived in the UAE initially over 14 years ago with my husband and three children, returning to Dubai, where for the last six years, I have held various senior leadership positions in high performing schools.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) degree with Qualified Teacher Status, a National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), and am a trained TQUK assessor and mentor as well as an NPQ facilitator and mentor. I am also a trained Designated Safeguarding Leader.

Having lived and worked in the UK, Channel Islands, Brunei, Abu Dhabi and Dubai I am passionate about the opportunities an International educational experience brings to a whole school community; students, staff and parents. I believe strongly in values driven education where every member of school works together to ensure the very best possible outcomes for all. It is always through a foundation of trust, respect and tolerance that education can be at its most powerful and rewarding. Every day I feel incredibly fortunate to witness students achieving goals they thought were impossible. It reminds me constantly why at the age of 16 I decided to volunteer in a local Primary school and there I found my future.

I look forward to joining you all and meeting our wonderful GCS school community.
