Wellbeing
The vision of GEMS Cambridge International Private School, Sharjah (GCS) is to enhance the well-being of our school community for all stakeholders by fostering a culture of resilience, excellence, and self-awareness. We strive to promote positive mindsets, critical thinking, and healthy lifestyles within a nurturing, safe, and enabling environment. By empowering students to become resilient and self-aware individuals, we cultivate a community of empathetic, lifelong learners, who transfer into responsible global citizens.
At GCS, well-being is embedded within our systems, procedures, and programs, ensuring that every stakeholder—students, staff, and parents—contributes to a culture of emotional intelligence and resilience.
In a school environment that values excellence, self-awareness, and collaboration, individuals work together as proactive and supportive team members. Our systems provide opportunities for staff and parents to feel valued and heard, fostering a positive ethos that meets the holistic needs of our students.
This culture of well-being ensures that all children feel safe, secure, and empowered to learn by equipping them with the skills needed to navigate life with confidence.
Well-being support at GCS is provided at whole-school, class, group, and individual levels. Additional support is available unconditionally, offering students a space to seek guidance from Heads of Year, Heads of Key Stage, or the Head of Well-being. Through personalized life coaching, students develop problem-solving skills, resilience, and self-awareness.
