University Destinations

At GEMS Cambridge Sharjah (GCS), our students consistently achieve outstanding university placements and scholarships that reflect both their academic excellence and the strength of our school’s guidance and support systems.

Our most recent graduating cohort — last year’s Year 13 class — achieved remarkable success.

Every single student progressed to university, with almost all pursuing competitive Medicine and Engineering degrees. As shown in the image at the bottom of this page, the vast majority of these students secured highly competitive scholarships here in the UAE — such as the prestigious Sharjah Scholarship (Sharakah) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) — as well as scholarships to institutions in the United States and Europe. Their achievements are extraordinary, and they remain a credit to the school.

In total, our 14 Year-13 graduates earned over AED 5 million in scholarships, an incredible accomplishment that reflects their talent, hard work, and the strength of the academic journey at GCS.

To support students in reaching these heights, GCS offers:

• A specialist Careers Counsellor who works closely with students and families to navigate university pathways, scholarship opportunities, internship options, and long- term career planning.

• A strong and highly experienced academic team who guide students expertly through their GCSE subject selections, A-level pathways, and the entire university application process — including personal statements, entrance tests, interviews, and portfolio preparation where required.

• Structured preparation for Medicine, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, and other pathways, ensuring that students develop not only academic knowledge but also the experiences and skills needed for highly competitive applications.

We also maintain a close and supportive connection with our GCS Alumni, who remain proud to be part of our school’s developing success story. Many return to mentor current students, offer university and career advice, and share their experiences studying at leading global institutions.

Across GEMS, students continue to excel:

• In the past three years alone, GEMS students have been accepted into 97 universities in 26 countries, receiving partial to full scholarships.
• GEMS students globally have achieved admission to 1,050 universities across 53 countries, including 66 of the world’s top 100 universities.
