Sixth Form

Welcome to Sixth Form at Cambridge International School - Sharjah (GCS)

At GCS Sixth Form, we provide a distinguished and personalised learning experience, tailored to prepare students for university entry. Our International A-levels (IALs) are globally recognised and hold a prestigious status, offering students the opportunity to specialise in subjects they are passionate about. Our programme combines traditional face-to-face instruction with independent study and digital resources, ensuring a comprehensive academic experience that paves the way for university success.

Students can focus on two, three, or four A-level subjects, aligned with their future academic and career aspirations. IALs are modular and assessed through a series of examinations.

Our entry requirements for the A-Level programme include a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 7 (A) or above.

GCS has achieved remarkable results in recent years, with 90% of A-Level entries receiving grades A*-B and a 100% pass rate in the Academic Year 2023-2024. Our Year 13 students have successfully gained admission to renowned universities both locally, such as the American University of Sharjah (AUS), and internationally, including Russell Group universities in the United Kingdom.

Students receive comprehensive support throughout the university application process from our experienced and trained staff. Additionally, GCS Year 13 students are eligible for prestigious scholarships, such as the Sharakah Programme at AUS, where one GCS student each year is awarded this esteemed scholarship.
