School Timings and Attendance

The attendance at school is of primary importance and therefore students are encouraged to be present every day throughout the year to ensure they have the best opportunity to excel in what they do.

GCS opens its doors at 7:30 am daily with school timings as follows:

FS1 & FS2 : 7:45am - 1:00pm (for Own Transport)

                     7:45am - 2:20pm (for School Transport users)

Year 1 - Year 13 : 7:45am - 2:40pm

The school week runs from Monday through Thursday. Our weekend is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in common with all other schools in Sharjah, UAE.

Attendance and Absence

If a child is absent due to sickness or any other reason, please notify the school of their absence first thing in the morning. There are also times when an absence is unavoidable and in such cases, parents are asked to contact the school in advance whenever possible.
