Head of Primary

I am thrilled to introduce myself and the Head of Primary at GEMS Cambridge International Private School Sharjah. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), I have laid a strong foundation in the field of education. Additionally, I pursued a Master's degree in Professional Education, further enhancing my expertise in this domain.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working both locally and internationally, gaining invaluable experience in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. Over the course of more than ten years, I have served in various educational leadership roles, including Head of Department, Head of Year, Assistant Headteacher, and have had the pleasure of collaborating with educators from diverse backgrounds and cultures. As an experienced Whole School Teaching and Learning Coach, I have also had the opportunity to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school, collaborating with fellow leaders to ensure a cohesive and progressive educational framework. In this role, I have actively promoted a positive school culture and facilitated professional development opportunities for staff, fostering a continuous learning environment.
I am passionate about supporting and empowering educators to create engaging and impactful learning experiences for their students and I firmly believe that the key to academic excellence lies in valuing students' well-being and fostering their holistic development.
Recognising the importance of students' emotional and social growth, I prioritise creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. I believe in cultivating a culture of care, empathy, and resilience, understanding that these qualities are essential for students to thrive both academically and personally.
My aim is to further inspire and guide students, empowering them to embrace their unique strengths, explore their passions, and become lifelong learners. By fostering a collaborative partnership among parents, students, and staff, we can create a supportive community that values diversity, inclusivity, and holistic growth.
