GCS MUN

  • Model United Nations (MUN) is a globally recognised simulation of the United Nations, where students take on the roles of country delegates to discuss and address global challenges. These challenges span topics like climate change, international security, human rights, and economic development. As a delegate, you’ll research your assigned country’s policies, present your findings, and collaborate with others to develop actionable solutions. MUN provides a hands-on introduction to international diplomacy, teaching you how global decisions are made while sharpening skills like critical thinking, negotiation, and public speaking.

    What is MUN?


  • As an MUN delegate, you’ll represent a country, researching its position on assigned topics and presenting your findings during committee sessions. You’ll debate with other delegates, follow diplomatic protocols, form blocs (treaties) and negotiate solutions that reflect your country’s interests. By the end of the conference, you and your peers will collaborate to write resolutions that address the issues discussed. This process not only expands your knowledge of global politics but also builds valuable skills like negotiation, teamwork, and communication, all in an interactive and supportive environment.
