Bryce Long

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Primary Deputy Headteacher at GEMS Cambridge International Private School, Sharjah. My Name is Bryce Long and I am from Northamptonshire in the United Kingdom.

I have over 13 years’ experience as a teacher and a leader in the UK and UAE. Having graduated Northampton University with a BA in Primary Education, I have taught as a classroom teacher and as a specialist in primary schools and all-through schools. I have middle leader experience in academic and pastoral roles and have 7 years of leadership experience working most recently in an outstanding Dubai school as Assistant Headteacher. I am also an NPQ facilitator having facilitated the NPQLT and NPQSL courses, supporting the development of aspiring leaders from around the Middle East.
Having taught students from all backgrounds and of all ages and abilities, I understand the importance of a supportive pastoral system that benefits and celebrates all members of the school community, recognising each individual’s unique qualities and attributes.

Being part of the GCS team, I am very keen to share my knowledge and continue to develop students’ academic progress and equip all learners with a futureproof toolkit to ensure that at school, and in the wider community, students can demonstrate critical thinking, resilience and collaboration.

I am passionate about ensuring all students are given access to a wide range of enrichment opportunities, where they can demonstrate and embody the school values.
