Scott MacDonald
Assistant Head Teacher (Teaching & Learning)
Dear GCS Families, I am absolutely thrilled to join the GEMS Cambridge International Private School - Sharjah community as your new Assistant Head Teacher of Teaching and Learning. Having lived and worked in the UAE for 14 years across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, I bring a deep appreciation for our vibrant local culture and a strong commitment to the core pillars of our curriculum. My career spans both senior academic and pastoral leadership, and I am deeply passionate about fostering a supportive, student-centered environment where high-quality instruction meets restorative care. I am currently completing my Doctorate in Education in Emerging Technology, which continually inspires me to help teachers integrate innovative, future-focused learning into their classrooms. When I am not at school, I enjoy exploring the UAE with my wife and our two dogs. I look forward to meeting you all and partnering with you to ensure our students have an outstanding academic year!
