Senior Leader (Primary)

I have been working at GCS since it opened in 2019 and I am very honored and excited to be part of the Senior Leadership Team this academic year. Throughout my 6 years at GCS, I have had various roles ranging from EYFS through to Year 1 such as HOY, Primary Maths Lead and now I am delighted to be appointed to Head of KS1. I have seen how our school has grown from strength to strength over the years and most importantly watched our children grow, not just academically but emotionally and socially over the years. With a passion for education, I graduated with a Post graduate certificate in Primary Education, from the University of Cumbria, which is a prestigious and well-known teacher training college. I have worked in a wide range of schools teaching both EYFS and KS1 covering all areas of the British Curriculum. During this time, I have gained a clear understanding of how education can promote a love a learning and implement a positive, safe and secure environment for all children. My leadership and teaching styles align perfectly with the priorities and core values of GCS; by encouraging the children to experience a love of learning, sparking curiosity and providing the children with the skills they need for their future. While also knowing that a mistake is part of the learning process. I firmly believe that every child has the right to high quality education in which they are challenged, and stimulated to achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum so that they can develop to the best thy can be both academically and personally. Every day I feel extremely lucky to witness every child’s progress and achieving their goals, I look forward to meeting you all and having a positive and successful year.
