Ranju joined GEMS Education close to three decades ago as a secondary school teacher and has served in a variety of roles in different schools over the course of her long career with GEMS. Ranju led the opening of four new GEMS schools that have gone on to achieve great success – including GEMS Cambridge International Private School – Sharjah in 2019. Given her close connection to GCS, it was with great pride and joy that she joined the school as Principal/CEO in 2024.

In addition to running GCS, Ranju serves as a Senior Vice President – Education at GEMS, a role in which she is responsible for overseeing and serving a whole cluster of schools as a key member of GEMS’ Education Committee. Over the years, she has supported and empowered six first-time principals in her cluster.

Ranju is a dedicated educationalist and a passionate leader. She is committed to ensuring pupils of all abilities and from a rich cultural mix receive the highest quality educational opportunities and achieve their full academic potential. She is also a champion of student wellbeing and has guided GEMS’ wellbeing focus for students across the network.

Ranju is equally committed to her own development and has successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). Ranju’s personal belief in service leadership allows her to serve and develop leaders who in turn give their best to create a learning environment that inspires pupils and staff to deliver the very best outcomes.
