Shubhra Sinha

Head of Culture & Curriculum Enrichment

My name is Shubhra Sinha and I will be responsible for whole-school Culture and Curriculum Enrichment. I am a strong believer in adopting a student-centric approach to teaching and learning. I have over twenty years of work experience in education as well as the corporate world. In schools, I have worked across areas such as curriculum development and instructional design. I look forward to launching various strategic initiatives at GCS, that will bring the entire learning community together.

I conduct teacher training sessions for Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and am an accredited visitor with NEASC, a globally recognised standard of excellence. I am also a certified career and college counsellor and look forward to helping GCS students identify and pursue their career aspirations. I have completed a two-year programme in Advanced Education Leadership from Harvard University, which has helped me understand the complexities within the educational system and helped me hone my leadership skills to deal with them. I have taught Global Perspectives (a critical thinking course) and Geography at IGCSE and AS/A Levels. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geography along with a B.Ed.

I enjoy connecting with people from various cultural backgrounds. I am enthused by inspiring students in the pursuit of academic excellence and contributing towards their social development and emotional well-being. I am confident that with your encouragement, I will be able to build a “supportive, responsive” culture at GCS and bring success to new initiatives.
