Martin Green
Head of Key Stage - 4
I am delighted to be a member of the Senior Leadership Team here at GEMS Cambridge International Private School, Sharjah, where I hold the position of Senior Leader: Head of Key Stage 4. This role allows me to work closely with both staff and students during a pivotal stage of secondary education, ensuring that high standards are maintained and that every learner is supported to achieve strong outcomes.
I bring with me extensive classroom experience across both IGCSE and A-level qualifications, alongside a strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and examination preparation at Key Stage 4. I have been teaching for 9 years, 7 years in the UK and 2 here in the UAE. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating structured, engaging learning environments that enable students to develop subject mastery, self-discipline and confidence in their abilities. I have worked with a wide range of learners and take pride in helping students overcome challenges and realise their potential.
In my current role, I focus on monitoring progress across Key Stage 4, supporting departments with effective use of data, and coordinating interventions to ensure that students remain on track academically and personally. I work collaboratively with middle and senior leaders, tutors and pastoral teams to provide a coherent and consistent experience for students throughout Years 10 and 11.
I am particularly passionate about balancing academic rigour with strong pastoral support, recognising that students perform best when they feel motivated, supported and well guided. Preparing students for life beyond Key Stage 4 — whether into post-16 education, training or employment — is central to my approach.
I am proud to contribute to the wider school community and remain committed to continuous improvement, professional development and delivering the best possible outcomes for our students.
